Biomass Suppliers List (BSL) Authorisation Information
Our naturally seasoned barn stored logs, supplied either in bulk or bags directly from our premises are BSL authorised meaning those products are authorised for use within the UK Government Renewable Heat Incentive scheme.
Outdoor/Barn Stored logs BSL Authorisation Number: BSL0055514-0001 dated 12/11/2014
Ofgem’s requirement from Autumn 2015, that all fuels used to avail of the Renewable Heat Incentive must be from an authorised source.
Our naturally seasoned "barn stored" hardwood supplied either in bulk or bags directly from our shop has been an authorised since 2014, meaning you can continue to enjoy our product in your home, or business and rest assured that your RHI payments will continue for years to come.
Our naturally seasoned wood is mainly sourced from within the East Midlands area and stored for up to 18 months, this helps the environment, makes our wood-fuel almost carbon neutral and helps to keep the costs down. Unfortunately for most reputable wood fuel suppliers demand now outstrips supply and we cannot naturally season our wood fast enough to cope with the rising demand this is due to more and more people realising the benefits of a wood fuel fire above gas, oil and electricity. Kiln dried logs have now become a necessity in the wood fuel market and have proven extremely popular with our customers due to their premium burning.
